My son just spent 2 days a week there for the last half term (we moved recently) and he loved it. I feel he really benefitted and thrived there both from the approach and also the teachers, who are passionate, open, accepting and kind.

Lucy and Sarah treat the children with warmth, care and respect. The children are valued as individuals: they are encouraged to follow their own interests and are given time to explore properly.

The 'settling in' process is carried out in a sensitive and child-centred way which enables both parent and child to feel confident with this. 

The children are enabled to be independent right from the start: choosing their own activities and learning to take care of the resources and environment.

The atmosphere at the school has to be seen to be believed: it is incredibly calm and purposeful. The mixed age environment means that our younger child can learn from the positive and calm learning behaviours demonstrated by the older children. 

The child-centred Montessori approach has proved to be perfect for our child but the main reason we are so pleased with the school is the kind, understanding and fun nature of the staff which has made it easy to form positive and trusting relationships right from the start.

Maria Montessauri was both an intelligetent and amazing woman. In an environment she created, the children are calm, empowered and supported.
I leave my son here and I am completely confident in doing so.

 recommendsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. Eastbourne Montessori School must be seen to be believed, it is so different from other nurseries.  The atmosphere is calm, the children utterly absorbed in tasks chosen by themselves and the classroom, garden and equipment are super child friendly.  Lucy and her staff are dedicated, experienced and caring.  Children starting their educational journey here progress to school at a distinct advantage.  recommendsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. I loved this nursery the minute I saw it, the staff are warm and welcoming and use positive language which is really important to me. 
I was worried that my son may not settle but he settled really quickly, he loves going which makes me a happy mummy! 
The toys are all wooden which was one of the reasons I liked it and the children are encouraged to learn at their own pace, there's no pressure. 
It's almost a home from home environment, I can't imagine my boy anywhere else now. 
Very happy it was recommended to me, I would recommend Lucy, Carmel and Anna to anyone.
