We are located in The Old Chapel Centre Alfriston. The unique, light and airy space, houses a classroom that is equipped with a full range of Montessori materials arranged  in a child friendly way. Our calm nurturing community currently has no more than fifteen children per session.  The secure outdoor space provides both a garden in which the children can play and a separate area for planting and growing. As Alfriston is a rural village there are beautiful walks and plenty of opportunity to be outdoors and observe nature.

About us

As the only Montessori Education U.K Accredited Montessori School in the area, ESMS provides a pre-school experience where the emphasis is on learning and developing in  a hands on way, meeting the needs of each individual. Lucy Forrester (Mont Dip A.M.I) a graduate of the Maria Montessori Institute in Hampstead, London in 1992, owns and runs ESMS .
